9 of Nashville’s Most Instagram-Worthy Restaurants

Do it for the like.

Mastering the perfect foodstagram is no easy feat. It takes the perfect combination of delicious food, specific lighting and the difficult ability to wait to take the picture before you dive in. If you’re looking to up your likes and comments, you should check these Nashville restaurants out and get them on your Insta ASAP.

1. Avo

Avo presents food in an extremely photogenic manner, making it easy for an amateur photographer to capture the food’s beauty. Also, their unique dishes such as Stuffed Avocado and Zucchini Pad Thai make for a variety of caption opportunities.

#SpoonTip: If you want to take the perfect picture of your food at Avo, ask to be seated outside.

2. DeSano Pizza

Pizza can be almost impossible to master because it usually comes out looking very greasy, and no one wants to see the oil spots gleaming on a picture of their dinner. Somehow, the pizza at DeSano’s avoids this – the classic Margherita Pizza is a fan favorite.

3. Silo

It’s all about that wooden background – it just makes the picture look so professional. Their dishes are all unique and palate-expanding. Seared potato gnocchi, mushroom, caramelized onion, greens, and spiced almond? Sign me up.

4. The Flipside

Flipside has the absolute best lighting for taking pictures. You won’t have to use your friend’s iPhone’s flashlight and look #basic, and the food is so unique and yummy that you’ll definitely rack up a lot of likes. I’ve personally tried more than 1 of their different styles of chicken and have never been disappointed, but my all-time favorites are the Primo (pesto, tomato and mozzarella) and the Popeye (spinach, tomato and mozzarella with a balsamic drizzle).

5. Rolf and Daughters

It’s as if they prepare their food knowing that you’re going to take a picture of it. This is a great place to go if you’re a sophisticated eater, with options such as “Mafalde, maitake mushroom alfredo.” Not really sure what half of those words mean, but the dish was definitely delicious.

6. Frothy Monkey

Their lighting during the day is ideal (especially if you sit in the window area), but if you go for dinner, an iPhone flashlight will do the trick. If you’re looking to eat breakfast food for dinner, this is your place. Or if you’re looking to eat dinner food for dinner – also your place (I highly recommend the quesadilla).

7. Saint Añejo

Honestly, the food here is just so good that people will be jealous of you and like your picture no matter what it looks like. You’ll probably get a few comments on this one, too. I usually order the Chimichanga because it’s really fun to say… and also fun to eat.

8. The Pancake Pantry

Vandy’s favorite breakfast spot has pancakes of all kinds (obvi) topped beautifully with just the right amount (AKA an insane amount) of chocolate chips or fruit. You’re bound to have your followers drooling. Also, plot twist: they serve french toast, eggs, and other breakfast foods despite their restaurant’s misleading name… so if you’re trying to be healthy, you can still go here.

9. Tavern

Tavern’s food is so classy that it’ll impress all of your followers and get you some extra likes. The wait is sometimes pretty long, but always worth it. Also, check out their truffle fries – very picturesque.

So the next time you can’t decide where to eat out, kill two birds with one stone: get a delicious meal and an even better Instagram. Just make sure you refrain from diving in before you get to snap a pic.
